Job Description

Contract Support Officer – responsible for providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a clean and professional environment, and maintaining a high level of security. Key duties include ID checks, responding to emergencies, and communicating information to staff and visitors.

Role: Contract Support Officer

Pay Rate: £13.45 per hour

Shift Pattern: Days, Nights and Weekends

Location: Luton/Pistone – ideally a driving licence is required

Role Requirements: SIA License

Must have:

* Valid SIA licence
* Good customer service and communication skills
* Proven work experience as a Security Officer (min 1 year)
* Professional attitude and appearance
* Ability to deliver succinct and clear verbal and written reports
* Resourceful and proactive when issues arise
* Excellent organizational skills
* Experience within cooperative security (min 1 year)
* Surveillance skills and attention to detail
* 5-year checkable work history
* IT literate – ability to operate detection systems and emergency equipment

Main Duties:

* Act as a point of contact and information centre to staff and visitors.
* Provide clear, concise information in person and over the phone or email.
* Report any issues to the supervisor or duty manager.
* Always conduct yourself in a professional manner.
* Respond to emergencies.
* Deal with conflict appropriately if required.
* Write up incidents to the standard expected by management.
* Carry out ID checks.
* Remain vigilant to health and safety risks.
* Work on own initiative.
* Ensure the reception area, foyer, staff area, and boardroom are kept clean by supervising cleaning staff.
