A fast-growing business at the forefront of the electric vehicle revolution is seeking an innovative and results-driven Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and manufacture of its advanced EV charging systems. With a growing international footprint and involvement in pioneering UK projects, this company designs, manufactures, commissions, and supports end-to-end commercial charging infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement efficient production processes for EV charging system manufacturing Ensure production complies with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment, ensuring uptime and efficiency Work with design teams to scale product specifications into workable manufacturing processes Identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and drive process optimisation Create and maintain documentation including SOPs, workflows, and maintenance schedules Train technicians and operators on production processes and equipment usage Evaluate and introduce new technologies to enhance production performance Liaise with Quality Engineering to resolve any quality issues and implement improvements Analyse production metrics to inform and deliver continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to support the supply chain and material availability Assist in implementing JIT strategies and monitor inventory levels to reduce waste Engage with suppliers to solve production-related challenges and ensure material compliance Provide engineering support to ensure day-to-day operational readiness Participate in cross-functional planning meetings to align production objectives with broader business goals Requirements: Degree-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical or Production Engineering, or a related field would be beneficial but not essential Experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role involving electric systems, ideally in the EV or power sector Good working knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing tools Hands-on experience with power electronics, connectors, and electrical system components Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong organisational and project management abilities Further information can be given upon request and subject to meeting suitability criteria.
