Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Location: Uckfield, East Sussex
Start Date: January / February 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (flexible hours available)
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Clearline Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable, proactive Warehouse Operative to support a growing e-commerce and wholesale business. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys responsibility, organisation, and working as part of a close-knit team. For the right candidate, there is genuine opportunity to progress into a more senior warehouse or operations role.
Key Responsibilities
* Carrying out stock takes and maintaining accurate inventory records
* Managing stock control and ensuring efficient organisation of warehouse space
* Processing orders across B2B and D2C platforms, including Shopify and other commercial systems
* Coordinating worldwide shipping, primarily within the UK, with regular shipments to Ireland and the US
* Collaborating with the wider team to ensure order systems and websites operate smoothly
* Handling customer queries related to orders, deliveries, and returns
* Supporting day-to-day warehouse operations to maintain efficiency, accuracy, and high standards
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stock management role is desirable (full training provided)
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a small, collaborative team
* Good communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
* Physically capable of carrying out warehouse duties
Additional Requirements
* Safety footwear must be worn whilst working on site
