About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Service Department Manager to lead and manage our service and production support operations within the window and door manufacturing industry.
This role will oversee the service department and production-related service activities, ensuring that customer issues, remedial works, and aftersales service requirements are managed efficiently and professionally. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating between manufacturing, installation teams, and customers to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong operational experience within the fenestration industry, who understands both manufacturing processes and service management.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department

Oversee service-related issues linked to manufacturing, installation, and product performance
*
Coordinate service engineers and schedule remedial work where required
*
Work closely with the production and manufacturing teams to resolve product or quality issues
*
Ensure service requests and warranty issues are handled efficiently
*
Maintain strong communication with customers, installers and internal teams
*
Monitor service performance and implement improvements where necessary
*
Ensure all service work meets company quality standards
*
Manage service reporting, documentation and internal systems
Requirements
*
Previous experience in a Service Manager / Operations Manager role within the window and door industry
*
Strong understanding of uPVC / aluminium windows and doors manufacturing processes
*
Experience managing production-related service issues
*
Strong leadership and team management skills
*
Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities
*
Ability to work closely with manufacturing, installation and sales teams
*
Strong communication and customer service skills
