Overview
Associate / Associate Director / Director role within the Water Engineering team. The team undertakes a wide variety of major and challenging infrastructure projects for the private and public sector, across a range of development sectors, with a focus on integrated flood risk and drainage solutions.
We operate a hybrid working policy between your home office and the office as required. Some travel may be expected on occasion, including working outside normal office hours.
Responsibilities
* Lead projects across the full spectrum of water and flood risk assignments, including river, coastal and surface water drainage design, hydraulic modelling, hydrology assessment, and development of business cases.
* Guide teams and support clients in the delivery of the portfolio, including bidding and proposition activity as the team grows.
* Instruct, supervise and mentor junior staff in the design and management of schemes; work with clients to ensure delivery of projects to time and cost, and to help manage change.
* Engage with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders to deliver challenging infrastructure projects for the private and public sectors.
* Provide internal project management and contribute to delivery quality, best practices, and client relationships.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field; Chartered with the ICE or CIWEM.
* Experience in delivering and leading flood risk and/or surface water separation projects from solution development, optioneering and design in line with relevant guidance.
* Experience in strategic catchment planning and decision making; report writing and presenting to internal and external partners.
* Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams with hydraulic modellers, engineers and environmental consultants.
* Proficiency with IT systems such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Civils 3D and the Microsoft Office suite.
* Full UK Driving Licence; Security Clearance to minimum SC level preferable (or willingness to apply).
