We are looking for someone to #JoinUs as an Assistant Fingerprint Officer in our Fingerprint Bureau. Could you be who we are looking for?

About the team/Department you will be joining:

The Fingerprint Bureau is part of the Joint Scientific Investigation Unit covering both South Wales and Gwent Police, based in SWP Headquarters in Bridgend, CF31 3SU.

Starting Salary: £26,106.00 rising to £31,296.00.

You will work a shift pattern of days and afternoons for which a 12.5% shift allowance will be paid.

About the role and your key responsibilities:

You will be part of a successful team processing crime scene marks, completing quality assuring and comparison work. You will be working under ISO 17025.

What skills and experience do we need you to bring to the role:

* Must have a good standard of education to at least GCSE A-C Level, including Maths and English, or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and abilities.
* Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft applications.
* Must display high levels of attention to detail.
* Must be a sound decision maker with the ability to work independently.
