About The Role
As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality financial business partnering to the Council's services. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Delivering accurate and timely financial information, analysis, and advice to support service managers in achieving their objectives.
* Collaborating with budget holders to ensure effective budget management and control.
* Contributing to the Council's financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and year-end closure.
* Providing insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying trends and recommending appropriate actions.
* Working closely with the Service Lead - Finance to ensure the successful delivery of finance business partnering services.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
* Significant experience in a finance business partnering role, ideally within a local authority or similar environment.
* Strong knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
* Proficient in financial analysis and reporting, with a keen eye for identifying trends and providing actionable insights.
* ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
