Anti-Social Behaviour Officer

A place to create moments that matter

Location: Stockton, Hybrid with regular travel around the North region to meet customer needs.

Salary: £38,959 per annum (including car allowance)

Permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am-5pm.

Thousands of families across the country rely on us for a safe, affordable home. And as the housing crisis deepens, the work we do has never been more important.

It’s this belief - that everyone deserves a place to call home - that drives everything we do. Together, we find new ways to understand and champion our customers, support them and drive positive change.

For a career that means more and makes a meaningful impact on society, this is the place to be.

Anti-Social Behaviour Officer - Making Communities Safer Together

Do you thrive on solving complex problems, working collaboratively, and making a real difference to people’s lives? Are you resilient, customer‑focused, and motivated by creating safer, more inclusive communities? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

As an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our residents and communities by leading and managing serious and complex anti‑social behaviour (ASB) cases across all tenures. You’ll work with empathy, fairness, and professionalism to seek positive, sustainable outcomes, resolving issues wherever possible and minimising the impact of ASB on residents.

This role is both hands‑on and collaborative. You’ll lead on complex cases while working closely with internal colleagues and a wide range of external partners to tackle challenges early, apply proportionate solutions, and promote safe, welcoming neighbourhoods for everyone.

What you’ll be doing:

* Leading and managing complex and high‑risk ASB cases from start to resolution
* Using a range of legal and non‑legal tools to resolve issues fairly and effectively
* Working collaboratively with colleagues, local authorities, police, and other partner agencies
* Prioritising a varied and demanding caseload while remaining calm, resilient, and solution‑focused
* Supporting a customer‑centred approach that balances enforcement with empathy
* Learning from customer feedback and contributing to continuous improvement in our ASB approach
* Playing an active role in shaping and improving how we respond to ASB as an organisation.

Salary

The spot salary for this post is £37,709 per annum for applicants who fully meet the requirements of the post. If you’re still developing some of the skills or experience, you can start at a salary 5% or 10% below the spot rate, with clear support and progression opportunities to reach the full amount.

You'll also receive a car allowance starting at £1,250 per annum.

About you

* Proven experience managing ASB cases, including court or tribunal work
* Strong knowledge of social housing, tenancy management, safeguarding, and ASB legislation
* Experience working in multi‑agency settings with police, councils, and community partners
* Ability to assess risk, prioritise cases, and manage a busy, varied caseload
* Empathetic, resilient, and customer‑focused, with confidence to be assertive when required
* Excellent communication skills and ability to support victims and communities
* Skilled in resolving complex issues, balancing prevention and enforcement

The successful applicant will be subject to pre‑employment checks, such as DBS and social media screening, before an offer is confirmed.
