Job Title: Optical Manager

Shift Pattern: Work Shift: Days (45 hours per week – Monday to Saturday, 09:00 - 18:00)

Responsibilities
* Oversee and manage the entire optical operation, ensuring high quality patient service.
* Lead a team of optometrists and optical assistants, coaching and developing staff to achieve performance standards.
* Maintain and enforce compliance processes and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
* Review sales forecasting and set department targets, ensuring targets are met while providing excellent customer care.
* Manage clinic operations and shop floor processes to keep the department well‑equipped for customer needs.
* Respond to customer queries and resolve service issues in a fast‑paced environment.
* Work closely with an optometrist to support clinical activities and support department goals.
Qualifications
* Fully qualified dispensing optician registered with the GOC.
* On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD.
* Proven leadership skills with experience in a fast‑paced optics environment.
* Confident in coaching others and providing excellent customer and patient care.
* Organised and able to manage time effectively.
