Job Overview
We have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious person at the start of their career in the business and construction industry.
The ideal candidate will have a thirst for knowledge, and relish in the chance to be trained in various areas within the company, as they develop into a well-experienced, multi-skilled and dynamic member of any workforce.
We will invest heavily in the perfect candidate by providing training over the course of two years to allow our Assistant Administrator ample time to develop and grow.
Once the employee has mastered the basic administrative duties, training in other areas of the company will commence.
Through continuous feedback and mentoring from our most experienced Managers, including the Director, and learning on the job, the candidate will develop into a knowledgeable and accomplished member of staff providing quality support to all areas.
Hours of work will be Monday – Thursday 8am-4.30pm & Friday 8am-3.30pm with 30 mins for lunch.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Key Tasks
* Reception Duties – meeting and greeting all clients, answering calls, communicating daily with employees and clients via email, supporting Office Manager with the smooth daily running of the organisation.
* Administration Duties – assisting the Office Manager with maintaining a high standard of administration, and other members of staff when required.
* HR – supporting the HR function with the daily running of HR admin duties including the upkeeping of training records, preparing and filing documents for new starts and leavers, maintaining meticulous holiday and absence records on the HR portal.
* Tendering – supporting the tendering team complete the tendering process by organising meticulous files on schedule.
* Project Operations – working with several specialist areas such as the Commercial Team, Procurement, Site Operatives, Project Managers, and Engineers to learn the processes and procedures to assist the General Manager in improving such processes to advance the efficiency and effectiveness of the company.
* Health Safety Environment & Quality (HSEQ) – Assisting the administration of the records and paperwork required and organisation of training and certificates to ensure the health and safety of all employees is a priority and meets all legal requirements.
* The opportunity to shadow a number of Managers in the company including the Director to provide a holistic vision of how every part of the organisation operates.

Qualifications/Tickets/Licences Required
* 2 years administration experience desirable. Alternatively, it should be clearly demonstrated what transferable skills you possess that make you suited to the role.
