A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geoscientist to join a growing offshore geoconsultancy delivering projects across marine infrastructure and renewable energy. This role offers a strong technical focus, with responsibility for reviewing and interpreting offshore geophysical and geotechnical datasets, developing engineering geological desk studies and integrated ground models, undertaking geohazard assessments and cable burial risk assessments, and producing high-quality technical reports. You will also utilise GIS tools for geoprocessing, data management and visualisation.
Alongside technical delivery, you will be involved in geodata acquisition, including preparing pre-operational documentation and supporting the collection of UAV-based photogrammetry, LiDAR, magnetometer and USV bathymetric datasets. The role will also include geological mapping, data processing and reporting. In addition, you will contribute to tendering activities, assisting with proposals, costings and client liaison, as well as supporting project delivery through programme management and budget tracking.
To be considered, you should have the following:
Requirements:
Degree in Earth Sciences, Geology or a related discipline (essential)
Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (desirable)
Experience within offshore geoscience or a similar sector
Strong geological problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Experience interpreting offshore geophysical and geotechnical datasets
Proficiency in GIS software (e.g. ArcGIS)
