Overview
The University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior in Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) to join the Office for Executive Education and Skills (School of Defence, Security and Executive Education). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing portfolio of defence and executive education programmes within a dynamic, sector-responsive environment.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and develop high-quality teaching, with a particular focus on the MSc Innovation in Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance programme.
* Act as Programme Leader for this provision, lead modules and short courses, and work closely with defence and industry partners to co-create innovative educational opportunities.
* Contribute to curriculum development, support students through academic tutoring, and engage in scholarly and/or professional practice activity that enhances both the programme and the University’s profile.
* Design, content and delivery of the area of teaching, and ensure the quality of teaching delivered (for Senior Lecturer).
* Collaborate with colleagues across the University and externally, contributing to business development activity, short course design, and partnership working with defence and industry stakeholders.
* Inspire learners, demonstrate academic credibility, and operate confidently in professional environments.
Qualifications
* Hold a relevant masters degree and be working towards or have completed a PhD (or demonstrate equivalent professional standing).
* Experience in Higher Education teaching or significant relevant professional experience is desirable.
* Commitment to completing a recognised HE teaching qualification (if not already held) is required.
* Ability to travel for partner engagement and teaching activity.
* Ability to obtain appropriate security clearance (BPSS/UKSV) is essential.
Contract and Remuneration
Salary: £38,784 per annum. This post is fixed-term for 24 months and full-time at 1 FTE.
