Job Title: Cleaning supervisor
Hourly Rate of Pay: £ 13.34
Type of Employment: Full time
Position Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Braintree Village Shopping Centre - Braintree - Charter Way
Purpose of the Role:
To enhance and deliver site cleaning to an external premium outlet centre.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for mall zone standards.
2. Overall Management of the cleaning service delivery team.
3. Ownership/Accountability of all cleaning service provision and safety audits.
4. Regular walkabouts (MBWA) to engage with the teams and evaluate the service and standards we provide.
5. Manage the sub-contractor relationship and the onsite delivery.
6. Accountable for all reactive and scheduled tasks through concept, ensuring the team are achieving the monthly schedule and KPI.
7. Lead all HR related enquiries and issues within the Cleaning Service Delivery Teams. With adherence to company policies and procedure.
8. Assist in briefings to ensure team performance, morale and communication.
9. Develop and empower daily cleaning team members including setting objectives and managing performance through the appraisal system.
10. Pro-actively input, identify and plan for improvements around the agreed KPIs, working closely with the Environmental Manager to deliver the agreed objectives.
11. Assist & Support the Environmental Manager with recruitment and selection process for full time, part time and zero hour hosts within the Cleaning service delivery team.
12. Develop outstanding relationships with retailers, other departments and the onsite client team to aid excellent communication.
13. Assist the EnviromentalManager procurement of equipment and materials for the department, with a keen eye on innovation.
14. Evaluate weekly Housekeeping audits carried out for all areas to include, washrooms, malls, storerooms, concierge desks and back of house corridors. Ensure action plans are put in place to enhance the customer experience.
15. To evaluate and review the guest experience services offered to guests in line with the client's experience strategy, attend monthly experience strategy meetings with a keen eye on site improvements and innovations.
16. Embrace the company culture through effective leadership.
Experience:
17. A minimum of one year's experience in supervising and leading a team is essential.
18. A minimum of two year's working within a facilities management or retail environment.
19. Expeiance and knowledge of Risk Assessments & Method Statements
20. Knowledge of COSHH and PPE
21. Experienced in using Microsoft, including Outlook and Excel.
22. Articulate and can communicate effectively with Management Team, IFM teams and Client management.
23. Willingness to undertake any further appropriate training.
24. Waste recycling systems and equipment.
