Volunteer Development Lead – NHS Fife
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join NHS Fife as a Volunteer Development Lead within a small, dedicated Volunteer Service Team, as part of the wider Patient Experience Team. This unique role offers the chance to work across NHS Fife.
Responsibilities
* Recruit, train and manage volunteers to support hospital and community health services.
* Ensure best practice in volunteer onboarding, placement and ongoing support.
* Promote and develop volunteering across NHS Fife in alignment with local strategies, national and statutory policies.
* Engage with public, private and third sector stakeholders.
* Manage a specific portfolio and operate across various NHS sites in Fife.
* Foster positive relationships between staff and volunteers and promote the volunteering programme to meet evolving needs of NHS Fife.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong person‑centred approach and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to engage effectively with a wide range of staff groups and members of the public.
* High degree of flexibility, initiative and ability to work independently.
* Preferably have experience in volunteering or related fields.
