Phoenix Group of Virginia is hiring a Senior Supply Chain Management Analyst – Medical to lead procurement and logistics coordination of medical equipment and supplies for U.S. Navy and Military Sealift Command (MSC) operations. This role is essential to ensuring that medical readiness is sustained across global missions—whether supporting daily shipboard needs or critical emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end medical supply logistics, including sourcing, ordering, expediting, and tracking through DoD systems such as MILSTRIP and the Defense Transportation System (DTS).
* Identify, audit, and analyze procurement and inventory management for both standard federal stock and non-standard commercial items.
* Review and interpret acquisition documentation, technical manuals, vendor data, purchase orders, and shipboard feedback to determine accurate logistics requirements.
* Conduct inventory audits and causative research for gains or losses; define stock levels and reordering frequency to maintain operational readiness.
* Provide subject matter expertise on procurement and inventory posture for medical materials, including guidance on Government Credit Purchase Card (GCPC) usage.
* Collaborate with government and contractor leadership to improve process efficiency and performance metrics for medical logistics.
* Recommend improvements to supply procedures, documentation workflows, and support systems to enhance mission delivery.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* 12+ years of logistics experience supporting ship acquisition or sustainment, preferably with MSC, the U.S. Navy, or maritime healthcare systems.
* Strong working knowledge of:
o Medical logistics and sustainment strategies
o MILSTRIP requisitioning and DTS tracking
o Technical documentation and procurement specifications
* Experience with inventory auditing, supply planning, and material support analysis.
* Ability to lead logistics process improvements and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.
* Understanding of GCPC use and compliance requirements in a federal environment.
