Reporting into the VP Home Entertainment and Appliances, the Head of DA Division plays a crucial role in overseeing the strategic direction, operations, and performance of the DA division within SEUK (a £4b business across Mobile and Consumer Electronics). This leadership position requires exceptional management skills, industry expertise, and a proven track record of driving accelerated growth and innovation with the aim of growing market share and maintaining a premium position in the UK & Ire. Revenue value circa £400m. Role and Responsibilities Your key responsibilities: Develop and implement long-term strategies aligned with Divisional and wider UK& Ire organisational goals Deliver against short term business objectives (monthly, quarterly, yearly) for all categories within DA – market share, revenue, sell out volume, margin and profit. Lead a diverse cross-functional team - Sales, Marketing, Retail, Product, Supply Chain and Business Intel - to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth in the most effective and efficient way. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Set thew strategy and organisation capability to identify and exploit new growth and channel expansion opportunities. Establish and oversee the operational rigour and discipline to sustain consistent and predictable business performance and KPI management across all functions of the DA Division. Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders at UK, European and Global levels, to influence and support the UK strategy. Establish and develop deep partnerships/engagement with all key channels at senior/C-suite level. Foster a culture of true Channel Partner collaboration (not just sales team) to drive win-win business opportunities that maximise value for both parties. Work collaboratively across the UK (via other divisions) to maximise the unique ‘One Samsung’ commercial opportunity. Be recognised as Global Best Practice (within Samsung) for subsidiary operational capability and champion benchmark deployment of Global Strategic Initiatives. Build a talent pipeline for the division with a focus on retention and development to ensure we have the best team in the industry. Development of direct reports to establish a strong succession bench in the Leadership Team Ultimately be the outstanding Business Leader who will have a direct and positive impact on the next chapter in Samsung’s incredible journey in the UK & Ireland. Your key people management responsibilities Provide clarity on strategy, team purpose & value and define the key areas of focus and direction. Support the development of your team through regular mentoring, coaching and feedback, 1:1s and on the job learning opportunities. Role model inclusion for your team to build trust and psychological safety. Ensure communication with your team is a core focus area including cascade of information from LT’s and relevant business updates. Handle all annual people management cycles such as goal setting, evaluation and salary reviews to a high quality and in a timely manner. To be accountable for ensuring your team are aligned with company processes and procedures; such as compliance, meeting mandatory business cyclical deadlines, and understanding what we value. What we need for this role To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes: Experience required: Extensive experience at leading cross functional business units with full revenue and P&L accountability Exceptional relationship and influencing skills at the highest levels of large scale/multi million/multi national corporations. Consistent track record of leading a successful team and ability to grow all channels through a strategic plan, without cannibalisation Experience of growing range and distribution, whilst increasing revenues and share of wallet within key accounts.
