DK Recruitment is partnering with a global Medical Manufacturer seeking an experienced and qualified Process Engineer to join their successful team based in Plymouth.

As a Process Engineer, you will master Production Technology and Maintenance techniques, responsible for addressing Loss (Breakdown, Waste, Speed), Investigation, and Resolution. You will implement basic maintenance processes for designated product lines and utilize strong structured Problem-Solving abilities.
Main responsibilities include:
1. Drive centre lining activities for sustained line performance.
2. Develop poke yoke solutions and improvements.
3. Implement quality improvements to reduce TQN and QN in line with company metrics.
4. Drive safety initiatives and improvements.
5. Identify waste reduction opportunities and drive actions to completion.
6. Attend meetings to provide engineering status of lines and coordinate resource deployment and timelines to resolve losses.
7. Resolve repeat loss issues using systematic problem-solving to determine root causes.
8. Support CI projects and validations to enhance equipment reliability.
9. Provide insights to improve Maintenance Standards and execution based on problem-solving outcomes and DTM/PPM activities.
10. Coach on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
11. Support equipment breakdowns if necessary.
12. Conduct updates on focus lines.
13. Generate initiatives to return lines to LSA.
14. Create daily bottleneck and KPI action plans.
15. Guide shift teams on problematic areas using data analysis from MES, PAB, and VOA sources.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. HNC or Degree in Engineering/Mechatronics or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of technical or manufacturing experience, including high-speed automated assembly and packaging equipment.
3. Experience in a busy manufacturing environment.
4. Ability to work collaboratively and promote team-building activities.
5. Confident independent thinker capable of acting quickly under pressure.
6. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Experience with safety and ergonomics in manufacturing.
8. Strong understanding of Quality Systems.
9. PLC experience is preferred but not essential.
