Description
Keoghs is a leading legal firm in the insurance sector. This role offers an excellent opportunity for those starting their legal careers. While previous legal experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory, as comprehensive training and support are provided. The role involves managing pre-litigation recovery processes in a fast-paced, dynamic department. The focus is on maximizing financial recovery for clients and preparing files for litigation when necessary, ensuring timely transfers to meet individual, team, and department targets and KPIs.
Key Accountabilities
* Review instructions, send letter before action, and initial correspondence to policyholders and clients, following escalation processes.
* Organize, prioritize, and manage workload to meet critical deadlines and KPIs, including processing client account balances within 5 working days and transferring files to litigation by Day 28.
* Identify issues related to quantum, liability, or third-party indemnity requiring further investigation and transfer files accordingly.
* Ensure files transferred to litigation are prepared for issuance.
* Use case management system effectively to ensure accurate and timely MI updates, meet critical dates and SLAs, document actions and strategies, and label documents clearly.
* Deliver quality work meeting audit standards.
* Engage in personal development.
* Contribute to team efforts by collaborating to achieve targets and maintaining positive team morale.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
* Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act and awareness of RTA Insurer and Article 75 status.
* Experience working in a legal environment.
* Ability to work to deadlines, handle client and public inquiries, organize workload, and work collaboratively in a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and accept constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
