We have a new opportunity for a SME Trading Team Manager to join us
Reporting into the Lead Trading Team Manager, you will work as part of the Fleet Team for the SME Business area of AXA Commercial which is targeted to deliver annual income of approximately £1bn GWP with a focus on profit. The business areas are responsible for sales, servicing and trading for all our broker partners and customers. The purpose of the role is to lead your team, instilling a high-performance culture, creating an environment where everyone can be themselves and at their best.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you'll be doing:
* Creating and maintaining a high-performance culture through leading and motivating your team to achieve agreed trading plan targets, productivity, customer satisfaction, service delivery, quality, ensuring this is all delivered in a risk compliant manner.
* Building an environment for continuous improvement by coaching, keeping a view on the external market/best practice, using effective performance management, understanding colleague/team aspirations and identifying training needs.
* Motivating team to create and maintain a dynamic, pro-active, trading culture in line with local team agreements to support AXA and Commercial are a great place to work.
* Agreeing team and individual performance targets to deliver expected customer service and financial plan.
* Driving and monitoring service performance, ensuring that all work within the team is completed in line with agreed service levels, best practice and adheres to all AXA underwriting standards, legal and FCA requirements.
* Supporting and assisting the management team with strategic initiatives and development, creation/implementation of local and centrally run projects within own team and across the business.
* Supporting and driving the financial management and monitoring processes, e.g; weekly / monthly forecast; annual planning.
* Acting as a change champion, fostering a positive environment, managing resistance, and maintaining team productivity and engagement throughout periods of transformation.

* Managing varied workload in line with business priorities and being agile in response.
