Summary
**Important notice**
In line with our redeployment policy, we’ll prioritise applications from employees who are under formal notice of redundancy.
We’re looking for a part-time Senior Communications and Marketing Officer to plan and lead our communications and marketing for Hardwick Hall. This role is offered as part of a job share on a fixed-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how we tell Hardwick’s story and connect with our visitors, supporters, and local communities.
What it's like to work here
Hardwick, an impressive Elizabethan masterpiece, with a world-class collection, garden, flour mill (Stainsby Mill) and heritage listed estate, something for everyone. We're passionate about caring for this wonderful property and visitors are at the heart of all we do. We are a busy, driven team, who like a challenge and work at a fast pace. We collaborate with each other and the wider property to engage, share our stories and provide a personal, tailored, and exceptional service.
This is a great place to work and an exciting time to join the friendly 60+ team and over 400 volunteers, who are looking for engaging, driven, visitor-focused people who will bring energy and ideas to this vibrant property.
What you'll be doing
You’ll work alongside other senior colleagues to develop compelling messages and themes that showcase everything Hardwick Hall has to offer. From its striking Elizabethan architecture and collections to its rich history and beautiful gardens, you’ll find creative ways to bring Hardwick’s stories to life and inspire people to visit.
You’ll be looking for fresh, imaginative ideas to connect with audiences and highlight the work we do to protect nature, beauty, and history here at Hardwick. This is a varied and dynamic role, so you’ll be working at pace, collaborating with diverse teams, and using multiple channels to reach and engage visitors.
No two days will be the same – one day you might be planning a campaign to drive visits during a seasonal event, the next you could be creating content that celebrates Hardwick’s conservation work and encourages people to support us.
