Assistant Site Manager – New Build - Commercial Project

The Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client who requires an experienced Assistant Site Manager to help oversee a new build commercial construction project for a 5-month project. The successful candidate will help take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
* Day-to-day management of the site and all on-site activities
* Coordinate and manage subcontractors and direct labour
* Ensure works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programme
* Maintain high standards of health & safety, including site inductions and RAMS
* Monitor progress and report regularly to the Project Manager
* Manage site logistics, deliveries, and access
* Ensure quality control and resolve any on-site issues
* Maintain accurate site records and documentation
* Drive the programme to meet project milestones and deadlines
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build commercial projects
* Strong leadership and organisational skills
* Ability to manage multiple trades and tight programmes
* SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid certificates essential
* Strong communication skills and proactive approach
