Role Overview:
We are seeking a Surgery Manager to join our management team at our prestigious hospital in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. You will be responsible for setting and maintaining high standards within the surgical team, leading surgeons, nurses, and assistants, and ensuring targets for Laser Eye and Intraocular procedures are achieved through effective resource management.
Main Responsibilities:
* Implement systems to ensure world-class surgical treatments and optimal patient outcomes.
* Motivate the surgical team to meet clinical KPIs and treatment volume targets.
* Support efficient use of surgical time, maximize surgery lists, and ensure accurate reporting.
* Manage Clinical Governance and HCC systems, ensuring full compliance.
Candidate Requirements:
Ideal candidates will be comfortable leading a diverse, senior team, preferably in a clinical setting, with:
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Adaptability and flexibility
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Discretion and integrity
While clinical experience or qualifications are advantageous, the essential qualities include:
