3 months contract with local authority The Working Age Adult Social Work team, part of the Integrated Adult Social Care and Health Department, is dedicated to supporting adults aged 18-67 with learning disabilities, physical and sensory disabilities, and enduring mental health diagnoses. This service also manages the statutory functions of the Mental Health Act 1983 and operates the AMHP service on weekdays until 7:30/8:00 PM. We are seeking a qualified social worker with a minimum of two years of experience to manage caseloads and contribute significantly to our service's objectives. Responsibilities: Manage and undertake a diverse caseload. Conduct Care Act Assessments and Safeguarding Investigations. Engage in COPDOL work and 21A Challenge work. Participate in the duty rota and conduct reviews. Occasionally support the AMHP rota, which may require working beyond core hours. Attend monthly supervision sessions, team meetings, and participate in regular training and practice groups. Requirements Qualified social worker with at least two years of relevant experience. Proficient in Care Act Assessments, Safeguarding Investigations, COPDOL work, and 21A Challenge work. Ability to work collaboratively within a supportive team environment. Flexibility to support the AMHP rota as needed.
