As we continue on an exciting period of growth and transformation, we’re looking for a skilled Finance Manager to join our team in Redhill, Surrey. This is a hands on, detail driven role where you'll be deeply involved in the day to day running of the finance function, while also operating as a key business partner to our senior leadership team. You'll shape how we operate, drive meaningful changes, and ensure financial stability and accuracy across the business. The Role You'll take full ownership of all financial and management accounting activities while leading a small, dedicated finance team while also with the senior leaders and colleagues across the UK. This role requires someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, getting into the numbers, and improving processes while still supporting strategic decision making. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a small finance team. Produce monthly reporting and support the annual operating budget ensuring financial targets are met. Manage year-end processes, reconciliations, and audit requirements. Oversee preparation of financial accounts and function as a primary contact for internal and external audits. Deliver monthly management accounts, financial analysis and cash flow reporting. Review CVRs and challenge accruals with the Commercial team. Oversee VAT, PAYE/CIS, P11D/BIK and corporation tax processes. Ensure compliance with construction industry tax scheme requirements including DRC VAT transactions. Manage payroll, pensions and monthly reconciliations. Monitor aged debt, supplier payments and bank reconciliations. Maintain and develop Business Central systems to ensure effective financial management. Create and update Jet reports as needed. About You You’re proactive, adaptable and thrive in a fast paced environment. This is a hands-on-role, and your comfortable getting into the detail while also stepping back to provide strategic insight. You'll build strong relationships across the business, communicate with confidence and collaborate well with both local and remote colleagues. Essential Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA). Strong financial reporting and controlling experience. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Energetic, proactive and able to drive the business forward. Advanced Excel ability is essential. Desirable Experience leading a finance team. Background in construction or contracting. Experience with Business Central (Navision/Evision) or Jet Reports.
