Position Summary
Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to make a full time appointment for a consultant psychiatrist to work in the well‑established Mental Health Liaison Team based at Fairfield General Hospital. This is a substantive appointment. The appointee will have a lead role in consolidating developments that have occurred within this service recently helping the service continue to develop in order to meet the ‘Core 24’ standards defined by the Department of Health. This is a rewarding and exciting post within a highly supportive environment and you will be working with a dynamic and responsive team. Clinical work will include assessment and interventions with patients in the acute trust and involve working with an expanding multidisciplinary liaison mental health team. The team will promote the development of skills in this area within the acute trust and pathway development. We are proud to provide high quality mental health and learning disability services, both inpatient and in the community across five boroughs of Greater Manchester – Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Tameside and Glossop. Our vision is for a happier and more hopeful life for everyone in our communities and our staff work hard to deliver the very best care for the people who use our services.
