Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide senior clinical leadership across our CYP ADHD and Autism diagnostic pathways. You will act as the senior clinical decision-maker for complex cases, oversee MDT diagnostic processes, and ensure high quality, evidence based assessment for children and young people aged 6 to 18.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly developing neurodevelopmental service delivering clinician led, high governance, data driven care within a supportive and innovative primary care organisation.
Main duties of the job
1. Leading and quality assuring ADHD & Autism assessment and diagnostic pathways
2. Senior oversight of differential diagnosis and complex case formulation
3. Supervising MDT clinicians (GPs, psychologists, nurses, Band 7 assessors)
4. Providing senior review for high risk or atypical presentations
5. Contributing to governance, clinical audit, quality dashboards and service improvement
6. Ensuring NICE compliant, neurodiversity affirming standards of care

* Significant experience in ADHD & Autism assessment in CYP (minimum 3 years)

* Understanding of NICE NG87 (ADHD), CG128 & CG170 (Autism)
