Our client Herefordshire Council is looking for an Approved Mental Health Practitioner to join their community wellbeing team. The role involves working alongside experienced colleagues to safeguard vulnerable people in the community, make legally sound decisions, and support one another through the complexities of Mental Health Act work.
• Participate in a supportive AMHP service that values professional autonomy and reflective practice.
• Work as part of a small, friendly team that values collaboration, shared learning, and strong peer support.
• Make thoughtful, legally sound decisions in complex situations while ensuring staff well‑being through protected supervision, manageable rotas, and a strong safety culture.
• Occasionally triage referrals from home and maintain secure records and reports.
• Approved Mental Health Practitioner with the necessary clinical and legal competence.
• Willingness to fully register with Remedy for all locum positions and to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure via the DBS.
