Overview
We are hiring a Paid Social Account Director to lead one of our most high‑profile retail partnerships: ASDA. This role sits at the heart of performance, shaping how paid social drives real commercial impact for a complex, fast‑moving brand with scale. You’ll blend strategic thinking, data‑led decision making, and people leadership to help ASDA connect meaningfully with customers across platforms. Responsibilities
* Own the paid social strategy for ASDA, ensuring activity delivers clear, measurable business outcomes aligned to wider retail and e‑commerce goals.
* Act as a senior, trusted client partner, confidently guiding stakeholders through platform, privacy, and measurement changes.
* Lead multi‑platform planning, activation, and optimisation, embedding testing to demonstrate incremental value from paid social.
* Champion data‑led thinking by developing robust measurement frameworks that go beyond surface‑level platform metrics.
* Partner closely with wider agency teams to integrate paid social seamlessly into broader media and performance plans.
* Create clear, effective processes that support quality delivery, financial governance, and sustainable ways of working.
* Lead, coach, and support your team, fostering an inclusive culture where people feel valued, challenged, and supported to grow.
Qualifications
* Proven experience leading paid social strategy and delivery on large, complex client accounts, ideally within retail or commerce‑driven environments.
* Strong understanding of paid social platforms, with the ability to form a clear point of view on strategy, creative effectiveness, and innovation.
* Confidence translating data and insights into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
* Experience balancing innovation with operational rigour, including financial and quality assurance responsibilities.
* A collaborative mindset, comfortable working across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
* People leadership experience, with a coaching approach that supports development at different career stages.
* Curiosity and adaptability, with an interest in how technology, privacy, and consumer behaviour continue to shape performance marketing.
