Overview
Auto Electrician required in Swindon.
Responsibilities
* Installation of aftermarket equipment into cars and commercial vehicles, usually safety products such as cameras, proximity sensors, lighting, power management and related equipment.
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults on vehicles and service/repair auxiliary heating and air conditioning.
* Interact with customers, liaise with the Service Department, and perform general administration such as recording of time, parts and labour.
Requirements
* Good knowledge of vehicle/marine electrical systems and the ability to diagnose basic and complex faults using various diagnostic equipment.
* Qualifications in auto/marine electrics (City & Guilds or an IMI/NVQ) or over 5 years of practical experience working on auto/marine electrics.
* Experience in installing aftermarket equipment into vehicles, ideally emergency service vehicles.
Experience with emergency services
* Control Unit, such as the Standby/Carnation MCS/Genasys control units.
* ANPR systems such as Cleartone.
* Screen integration knowledge, such as Standby.
* CAN-bus integration systems such as CANM8.
* Secure radio systems such as Sepura and Motorola.

* Starting salary between £34,500-£42,854 per annum pending experience.

* Bonus structure: an additional 10% of salary for attendance, 10% for 90% efficiency, and 10% for 100% efficiency (80-90% of technicians achieve this).
* Overtime subject to availability, paid at 1.5x or 2x.
