Job Description
Plasterer Responsibilities:\n\nApplying and finishing acoustic, insulating and fireproofing materials bonded with plaster, plastic cement and similar materials.\nFixing pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, coving, ceiling centres and other plaster fittings and determining plasterboard layout, and installing insulation and vapour barriers.\nPlumbing and straightening corners, angles, wall and ceiling surfaces as well as creating decorative textures in finishing coats.\nMeasuring, marking and cutting plasterboard, lifting and positioning panels, and securing them to walls, ceilings and battens.\nCovering joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, smoothing them using wet brushes and sand paper.\nMixing and applying coats of plaster, cement and render to structures using trowels, and levelling and smoothing coats to uniform thickness.\nOther tasks include damp & mould repairs, plastering, tiling and decorating. \n\nPlasterer Requirements:\n\nYou should have experience within a similar role and be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 or have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working as a plasterer.\n\nThis is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week.\n\nPlasterer Benefits: \n\nSalary up to £34k\n\n£200 yearly Tool Allowance\n\nUniform & PPE\n\n25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (with an extra day every year up to 30 days)\n\nChance to buy or sell holiday as part of our flexible benefits package\n\nA van and fuel card for business travel\n\niPhone and iPad\n\nAbout us:\n\nDaniel Owen is an established recruitment consultancy specialising in the placement of quality temporary and permanent workers to all roles in the Built Environment.
