Positive Momentum is a consulting firm focused on helping organisations grow, change and lead more effectively. Founded in 2003, we are a consultancy of more than 24 partners based in the UK, alongside our sister company, Positive Momentum India.
All partners are former business leaders, working with organisations such as Adobe, Red Bull, Aviva and Premier Inn to deliver practical change across strategy, sales performance and leadership development. Our work ranges from sharpening commercial strategy to supporting leadership teams through major transformation. We combine strategic thinking with practical execution, building trusted relationships and delivering meaningful, lasting impact.
We are a Certified B Corporation™, reflecting our commitment to responsible business, and have been recognised in the Financial Times’ list of the UK’s Leading Consulting Networks for four consecutive years.
Our values centre on Energy, Engagement and Edge, and we focus on understanding client challenges and delivering practical solutions that help them move forward with confidence.
Purpose of the role.
You will be the trusted business partner to a portfolio of Positive Momentum consulting partners, helping them run and grow their client practices while contributing to exceptional outcomes for clients. This role balances two priorities: supporting the commercial rhythm of a partner’s practice and the success and momentum of client engagements. You will help ensure partners focus their time where it matters most, that client work progresses effectively, and that insight from engagements is captured and translated into action.
Working alongside partners, you will engage with clients where appropriate, helping progress conversations, strengthening relationships and recognising opportunities to deepen impact and extend Positive Momentum’s work.
Our Journey
For many years, Positive Momentum has been supported by an exceptional team of Executive Assistants who help partners manage their time, client work and stay organised. As our business evolves and technology advances, we are taking the next step: the Business Manager role, reflecting the future of professional services. As AI handles transactional work, this role focuses on enabling partner practices and supporting client engagements, sitting at the centre of this evolution.
Positive Momentum operates through a network of experienced consulting partners who build and lead their own client practices, developing client relationships and delivering high-quality consulting work. The Business Manager works alongside these partners, helping them run their practice effectively so they can focus on clients and delivering impact.
Nature of the role.
This role combines strategic coordination with hands-on operational support – you will get stuck in to make things happen. The work can range from managing complex client engagements and supporting partner practice development through to practical tasks such as diary coordination and preparation for meetings.
The balance will shift depending on partner needs, but the focus remains the same: helping partners and clients operate effectively. Beyond the coordination, your primary focus is helping partners grow their client work. You join the dots between conversations, provide insight and follow-through so relationships, opportunities and outcomes continue to progress and nothing falls through the cracks.
Responsibilities
What you need to be like:
Your approach is as important as your results. The way we work at Positive Momentum is guided by three core values: Energy, Engagement and Edge.
Energy
You bring positivity, pace and calm momentum. Strategic and organised, you create clarity and structure in complexity while keeping things moving. You manage priorities with a clear view of what matters most. In change or uncertainty, you stay composed and focused, adapting quickly and helping others remain on track.
Engagement
You build strong, trusted relationships. Proactive by nature, you anticipate needs and act early to prevent issues. You communicate with clarity and purpose, influencing without hierarchy. You align people and priorities, making collaboration effective, and work independently without the need for close management.
Edge
You combine practical thinking with commercial awareness. Analytical and insightful, you turn information into actions that improve outcomes. Curious about how organisations operate, you connect challenges to opportunities for value creation. You use modern tools and AI confidently to simplify work, generate insight and sustain momentum.
Responsibilities
CLIENT ENGAGEMENT COORDINATION
You act as the central coordinator, ensuring the right people, preparation and information
are in place, so engagements run seamlessly from start to finish. You might participate in selected client interactions, ensuring key insights, actions and opportunities are captured and that engagements keep moving forward between conversations.
SUPPORTING PARTNER PRACTICES

You handle the operational side so they can focus on what they do best: running and growing their consulting practices.
PRACTICE INSIGHT AND MOMENTUM
You bring genuine commercial curiosity, listening for emerging client priorities, recognising where Positive Momentum could add further value and helping partners spot opportunities to deepen relationships and impact. You maintain visibility of the health of a partner’s practice, using available data, such as pipeline activity, business development meeting levels and engagement progress, to identify opportunities, surface risks early and keep work progressing in client work.
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Working closely with the wider Support Team, you help maintain the operational foundations
that allow Positive Momentum to run effectively. This includes supporting systems, processes, compliance and the use of technology and AI to continuously improve how we operate.
