NHS Forth Valley provides health services across a population of 306,000. There are currently 3,500 Nursing & Midwifery WTE staff employed. We work in partnership with two local councils and integration boards to deliver improved health and social care for our local communities.
As Director of Nursing, you will provide energy, drive, and leadership in partnership with colleagues, in the delivery of continuous improvement in the clinical and professional performance of NHS Forth Valley, with a specific focus on:
* Quality of clinical care delivered in multidisciplinary and Nursing teams.
* Workforce/workload planning in line with legislation.
* Continuous improvement of clinical practice and positive patient experience, including standards of clinical care, and the development of improvement and assurance plans in inspection and regulatory processes.
* Patient safety and public protection of vulnerable adults and children.
* Healthcare Environment Inspections and Healthcare Acquired Infection Prevention.
* Learning from events and feedback, reviewing past care to influence future improvements.
* Patient affairs, including feedback/complaints, claims, and communication.
* Delivery of Person-Centred Care.

The ideal candidate will possess vision, drive, passion, professional credibility, and a broad range of operational, strategic, and professional skills.
You should be able to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and have a proven track record of building high-performing teams and implementing change within a complex healthcare system. Experience in corporate work and as a key member of the senior nursing leadership team is essential, with expectations to contribute beyond your defined portfolio.
