The Primary School are looking to take on an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant on a temporary basis leading to a potential long term position for the right Teaching Assistant. The successful candidate will be working with children that have additional learning needs and therefore will need to be adaptable in their strategies and methods ensuring they are fully supporting the children they are working with. The candidate will need to have previous experience working with additional learning needs such as autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour on either a one to one basis or in small groups.
The successful Teaching Assistant / TA will have:
Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / TA qualification or at least 6 months experience working within a classroom setting
Experience working one to one with pupils with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
TEAM Teach qualification is advantageous but not required
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
Excellent communication skills
