About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Psychology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, following relevant examination specifications. Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported in their psychological understanding. Utilise a range of teaching methods and resources, including case studies, research studies, debates, and interactive activities, to enhance student learning. Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning journeys, fostering a deep understanding of psychological concepts and skills. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Psychology examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and psychological methodologies. Contribute to the development of the Psychology curriculum and resources, integrating current psychological research and ethical considerations. Foster a love of psychology in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical, critical thinking, and research skills, and to appreciate the complexity of human behaviour. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider academic and extracurricular life of the school. Organize and lead psychological investigations, research projects, and ethical debates, promoting scientific inquiry and ethical awareness. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Psychology, including research methods and ethical considerations. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 4 and 5, including A-Level. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Psychology examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. A passion for psychology and a commitment to fostering scientific inquiry and ethical awareness. Ability to organize and lead psychological investigations and research projects.
