Job Description
We are currently seeking to recruit 2 enthusiastic and self-motivated full-time Temporary Talk and Play Workers to join our Early Language Team.
As a Talk and Play Worker within this service, you will work closely with team members including Speech and Language Therapists, Intervention Workers, and Health Visitors. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to clearly and concisely converse with families and professionals over the phone, via video calls, and face-to-face. Adaptability in supporting families is also required.
These posts are temporary and funded until 31st March 2028.
The successful candidates will be required to:
1. Carry out an Early Language WellComm assessment for children aged 15-21 months referred following an SOGs assessment or Healthy Child Wales visit.
2. Plan and deliver bespoke 1-1 sessions using the To and Fro approach both virtually and face-to-face, including support for Social and Communication Difficulties.
3. Deliver Early language programmes within the community.
4. Travel independently throughout the County Borough if required.
