Our client, a leading water sector specialist are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee water sector projects. You will join a reputable MEICA contractor with long term progression opportunities and be involved in substantial projects.
The role is primarily working across Kent & East Sussex, with travel outside of this area required on occasion.
This role pays up to £50k (experience dependent) + company van.
(Whilst permanent is heavily preferred, the client may consider contractors)
Job Overview
* The role requires an experienced Electrical Site Supervisor to oversee and coordinate electrical activities across construction, installation, and refurbishment projects within the water and wastewater sector.
* Responsibilities include supervising site teams, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, and maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental performance.
* The role requires delivery of works to agreed timelines and budgets while maintaining consistent quality.
* The role requires acting as a key point of coordination between site personnel, engineering teams, project management, and stakeholders to support efficient and safe project delivery.
* The role requires flexibility to travel to multiple sites and to operate effectively within varied and sometimes challenging environments.
Key Requirements
* Demonstrable experience in the water or utilities sector, including supervisory or team leadership responsibilities on construction or infrastructure projects
* Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to water and wastewater operations
* In-depth knowledge of electrical systems associated with treatment and process environments
* A commitment to continuous improvement, professional development, and adherence to industry best practice
* Effective problem-solving and decision-making capability, including in time-critical or high-pressure situations
Essential Qualifications
* ECS or JIB Gold Card (Supervisor level)
* SSSTS certification
* A recognised electrical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
* Inspection and Testing qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
* Full UK driving licence
