A well-established and growing hospitality group is looking for an experienced and commercially driven General Manager to lead one of its premium gastro pub venues in Cobham.
Part of a respected collection of pubs and brasseries across the UK, the business is recognised for its strong focus on fresh, high-quality food, outstanding guest experiences, and operational excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality leader to take ownership of a busy, high-performing venue and play a key role in its continued success.
The Role As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the business, leading from the front to deliver exceptional service standards, strong financial results, and an engaging team culture.
You will combine commercial awareness with a genuine passion for people, ensuring the venue consistently delivers memorable guest experiences while driving sales and profitability.
Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing management and front-line team
Drive revenue growth through exceptional guest service and operational execution
Take full ownership of P&L performance, labour management, and cost controls
Maintain high standards across service, food quality, and presentation
Build a strong team culture focused on engagement, training, and retention
Work closely with senior leadership to implement business strategies and initiatives
Ensure compliance with all health & safety and licensing regulations
Deliver a premium hospitality experience that reflects the groups brand values
About You Proven experience as a General Manager within a premium pub, gastro pub, or restaurant environment
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive sales and profitability
Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences
A natural people leader with strong coaching and team development skills
Hands-on operational style with excellent attention to detail
Experience managing high-volume, food-led businesses
Strong understanding of labour control, stock management, and financial reporting
Ambitious, energetic, and driven to achieve results
