About the Role
As a key player in the team, a Space Planer will own ranging and assortment decisions for promotional space. The role is central to commercial success, crafting planograms that generate significant sales, profit and operational efficiencies. You will translate customer knowledge, use shop and category insights to understand how customers shop, and develop targeted plans to meet their diverse needs. You will convert strategic ranging outputs into perfect ranges for promotional space, while supporting the Trade Planning manager to deliver the best results for the customer.
Job Details
* Salary: £38,400‑£57,600
* Contract type: Permanent or 18‑month Fixed Term (Secondment)
* Location: Bracknell Head Office
* Working pattern: Hybrid – 3 days a week in office, remaining days remote based on personal needs and business balance
* Interview stage: planned towards the end of May
Key Responsibilities
* Leverage insight and internal & external networks to stay abreast of key customer requirements, market conditions and trends.
* Own business processes, frameworks and tools in your area, continually improving them to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
* Deliver customer‑focused planograms that meet targeted outcomes while ensuring maximum efficiency, including reporting against KPIs.
* Provide range optimisation recommendations to buyers within smaller promotional layouts and on total deletions.
* Generate a rolling annual plan to capture intentions over the period and quarter.
* Blend category knowledge and outstanding analytics to generate the best possible insights.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Highly analytical with a proven background in handling complex data, manipulation and modelling.
* Experience reading and interpreting data, simplifying complex situations or outputs, and a solution‑oriented, collaborative approach.
* Ability to work under time pressure.
* Proven attention to detail and proactive ownership of tasks and role while working with complex systems.
* Good judgment in all situations, adapting approach to deliver the best outcome in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder, customer‑centric team.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
