Our client is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Engineer for their site in London EC2V. Job role: Multi-Skilled Engineer Pay: £23.00 p/h (PAYE) Start date: 1st July 2025 Duration: 3 months Shift times: working hours will be on rolling 7am-4pm or 10am-7pm shifts changing each week Location: London EC2V A valid DBS is essential for this role. To Provide all-round engineering support, maintaining the building infrastructure. Have a detailed understanding of all new or current Building Services systems and contingency procedures within the buildings, and complying with the Health & Safety/building codes of practice. The Multi skilled Technician are to work alongside the lead multi skilled engineer and are responsible for ensuring that all activities within the building are undertaken with a professional and conscientious outlook with regards to the quality of work and Health & Safety, maintaining the 100% uptime criteria. The multi skilled Technician will ensure that there are excellent standards of response to plant failures, completion of assigned work and ensure any abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues are dealt with proficiently and communicated to the senior team including the Lead engineer/performance and Compliance Admin /Account Manager. General Overview: The position is based at Commerzbank 30 Gresham Street London. Working within a critical environment that comprises of 1 no Data Centre where Commerzbank Tenants infrastructure is designed with critical systems resilience and complexity in order to support there business requirements. The multi skilled Technician will ensure that there are excellent standards of response to plant failures, completion of assigned work and ensure any abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues are dealt with proficiently and communicated to the senior team including the Lead engineer/performance and Compliance Admin /Account Manager. * Comply with all company policies/procedures to ensure timely and effectively implementation. * Deliver projects to the customers requirement and on time liaising, when necessary, with the on-site facilities management team. * Ensure all Statutory and non-statutory works are completed on time and in accordance with relevant industry standards. * To be customer focused within all areas of operational activities and maximise relationships with clients. * Devise a good working knowledge and understanding of the onsite BMS/lighting & Critical systems and networked infrastructure. * Undertake out of hours PPM on Critical Assets. * Provide out of hours call out on a additional Retainer. * Monitor and record the open water systems working to L8. * Ensure the Clients CAFM/reactive work logging system is consistently monitored, and works are completed in a timely manner. * Ensure the provision of extra works and 'out of contract' works proposals have the required authorisations before commencing and that they are produced in a timely manner, in line with contract requirements. * Other reasonable activities as necessary to assist the Lead Engineer * To ensure site Electrical & Mechanical systems are operated and maintained to the required codes of practice and industry guidelines. * Ensure the PPM's for the as built equipment is fully maintained and carried out in a high calibre and on time. * To carry out day today maintenance and reactive issues relating to all the electrical equipment and assets. * Complete information and feed back to computer-based systems particularly the PPM system. * Carry out fault identification/rectification and escalation when required on heating, ventilation and air- conditioning issues. * Installation and modification of site electrical/mechanical services. * Support Lead engineer with LV Switching requirements * Maintain effective communication to the site lead shift engineer including plant status, plant isolations, issues arising, ongoing works and standards of housekeeping. * Ensure any parts required are clearly and accurately stated and any difficulties encountered on engineering activities are reported to the lead Engineer * Plant areas, workshops, stores, changing/rest areas etc. are kept to the highest level of housekeeping. Qualifications or Required Experience: * Experience in building services, working within financial / critical environments * Apprenticeship in electrical/mechanical maintenance * City and Guilds 236 A&B (2360 parts 1 and 2) or equivalent would be desirable * IET 18th edition would be desirable * City & Guilds 2394 / 2395 or 2391 Electrical Testing & Inspection would be desirable * Water Hygiene/Legionella Management experience desirable * Ability to think clearly in extreme circumstances * Good knowledge of building services and legislation * Have both mechanical and electrical maintenance experience * Minimum 5 years post qualification experience * Proactive and enthusiastic Team Player that brings out the best in others * Possesses MS office (word, excel and PowerPoint) skills * Health and Safety aware in all aspects of the business * Highly customer focused with a capacity to learn and progress * Visibly demonstrates a "Can Do' attitude that encourages team participation * A "problem solver" with ambition to achieve.
