Qualified Social Worker
Working Age - Community Mental Health Team
Location: North West
Paying £32 per hour
We are looking for experienced and passionate Social Workers to join the Working Age Community Mental Health Team. Ideally, candidates will have 2-3 years of experience within Adults Social Care. The role involves ensuring best practices, focusing on proactive problem-solving to meet the needs of vulnerable adults, and reducing harm. It is a mix of office-based work and visiting clients in hospitals and their homes. Some mental health experience, report writing, attending Mental Health Tribunals, and knowledge of WCCIS are essential. Local candidates or those willing to travel are preferred.
In accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support in delivering person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge, you will make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions, establishing and maintaining relationships with service users and agencies to meet their needs.
You will be committed to achieving positive and sustainable outcomes, striving to provide the best results for clients. Your passion for supporting individuals will be central to your role, with a focus on protecting the vulnerable and working efficiently.
Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
* Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
* Experience with Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection cases
* Supporting child and family planning, pre-proceedings, and court proceedings
* Understanding of factors impacting children, including abuse and neglect
* Ability to undertake Child & Family Assessments with effective analysis and planning
* Effective direct work with children and families
* Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach
* Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues
* Commitment to continuous improvement for better outcomes
* Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
* Strong relationship-building skills with children and families
* Experience working in a multidisciplinary, interagency environment
* Minimum 2 years of qualified experience
