What you’ll be doing
1. Working with our customers to acquire, grow and defend profitable business to achieve specific sales targets – You will achieve this by developing qualified opportunities and designing, pricing, and selling BT’s range of Security Portfolio products into our identified customer base.
2. Providing specialist technical guidance, advice and support to Sales Specialists and Account teams to ensure the most appropriate technical solution to meet the client’s needs is developed and presented in the most compelling way.
3. As part of the role, you will help to create an opportunity pipeline and be responsible for delivery of your annual targets by closing profitable business for BT Security.
4. As a Security Sales Engineering Specialist, you will lead on larger, technically complex opportunities which may involve more than one BT Security portfolio area. (e.g. Multi-Matrix and/or Complex/Highly Complex opportunities)
5. Providing technical thought leadership and mentoring to help develop and coach junior team members in Security – UK.
6. Provide management cover for the Sales Engineering manager during times of absence and annual leave.
Essential Skills
7. Experience in selling to Large corporate / MNC customers.
8. Track record of engagement with senior levels in a client organisation
9. Proven Track record of Hunting / BDM activity into High value customers
What We'd like to see on your CV
10. You must be educated to degree level or have extensive industry experience and relevant accreditations.
11. Previous experience working in a Vendor or System Integrator environment within the Security or Data Networking industry.
12. A proven track record of pre-sales solutions design and technical documentation production (Desirable).
13. Experience of the pre-sales/customer facing environment (Desirable).
