Worcestershire County Council is seeking a Social Worker to join the Homeless Intervention Team (HIT) in Worcester, England, United Kingdom.
The role involves working 37 hours per week, with a salary of £32,654 - £40,476 per annum (plus £4,000 market forces*), and is a permanent contract.
The successful candidate will be registered with Social Work England, hold a relevant social work degree, and have experience working with 16- and 17-year-olds.
The HIT team provides support to young people at risk of homelessness, and the role will involve undertaking Social Work Assessments, Section 47 Enquiries, Child in Need Plans, and Looked After Children practice & transfers to the Care Leavers team.
The team has a manageable workload and an emphasis on providing high support to young people and their families. The focus of the work is to support young people to remain at or return home to live with their families where it is safe for them to do so.
