Salary £26,488 to £27,423 per annum pro rata (£13,244 to £13,711 per annum based on 17.5 hours per week)

Step into a role where your compassion and initiative can truly change lives. As a Casework Coordinator in Cardiff, you'll be a vital part of a team supporting people seeking safety and stability. Working alongside the Cardiff and Vale Health Inclusion Service (CAVHIS), you'll help asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants access the healthcare and community support they need to thrive. Whether you're guiding someone through registering with a GP, leading a wellbeing session, or connecting individuals to local resources, your work will empower people to take control of their health and future. You'll build trusted relationships, break down barriers, and ensure no one is left behind. This is a dynamic, people-first role where every interaction matters-and where your efforts will help create a more inclusive, supportive community for all.
What will a day in the life of a Casework Coordinator involve? You'll be:
* Supporting individuals to access healthcare, register with GPs, and understand how to use local services.
* Delivering group and one-to-one sessions that promote wellbeing, self-care, and health literacy.
* Mapping and connecting people to local community resources, activities, and support networks.
* Working closely with clinicians and staff at CAVHIS to ensure joined-up, person-centred support.
* Helping people overcome barriers to accessing services, including language, confidence, or lack of information.
* Building trusted relationships that empower people to take control of their health and wellbeing.
What makes a successful Casework Coordinator? You'll need:
* Building trusted relationships that empower people to take control of their health and wellbeing.
* Excellent communication skills, including working with people from diverse backgrounds and those with limited English.
* Experience supporting vulnerable individuals, ideally within a casework or community setting.
* A clear understanding of the challenges faced by refugees, asylum seekers, and other migrants.
* Confidence using IT systems, including email, databases, and Microsoft Office tools.
* A compassionate, inclusive, and proactive approach, with a commitment to safeguarding and ethical practice.
* Willingness to work flexible hours on occasion.
