OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Plant Engineer / Field Service Engineer to join a well-established organisation within the plant hire and maintenance sector. This is a field-based role responsible for delivering high-quality breakdown support, servicing, maintenance, and repair of plant equipment across multiple customer sites.
The successful candidate will be a skilled and self-motivated engineer with strong technical ability and a proven track record in a similar role.
Key ResponsibilitiesAttend client sites to diagnose and repair plant machinery breakdownsCarry out planned preventative maintenance and routine servicingUndertake mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault finding and repairsEnsure all equipment is maintained to a safe and operational standardComplete detailed service reports and job documentation accuratelyProvide clear communication and technical feedback to customers on-siteWork independently while managing daily workload and travel schedulesAdhere to all health and safety procedures and company standardsRequirementsMinimum 5 years experience in a Plant Engineer / Field Service Engineer roleRelevant qualification in Plant Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, or similar disciplineStrong experience in plant machinery diagnostics, servicing, and repairsFull UK xsngvjr driving licence (essential)Own hand tools requiredStrong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding abilityAbility to work independently in a field-based environmentProfessional communication and customer service skillsPackage & BenefitsSalary up to £50,000 per annum depending on experienceField-based role with varied and engaging workloadOpportunity to work with a reputable organisation within the sectorLong-term stability and ongoing professional development opportunities
