We are recruiting for a Team Leader to join a small children’s residential home in Solihull, supporting up to three children/young people with Learning Disabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career within a supportive, community-based home.
The Role
As Team Leader, you will work closely with the management team to ensure high standards of care and lead shifts effectively.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the management team to maintain high-quality care standards
*
Acting as daily shift lead and overseeing handovers
*
Planning and organising staff duties during shifts
*
Supervising and supporting staff, including contributing to appraisals
*
Providing on-call support on a rota basis
*
Organising rotas and ensuring appropriate staff deployment
*
Supporting young people with daily routines, activities and independence
*
Promoting participation in social, leisure, educational and life skills activities
*
Supporting personal care needs, including intimate care where required
*
Administering medication and supporting medical appointments
*
Promoting wellbeing, safeguarding and positive outcomes

Essential Requirements
*
Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Essential
*
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Residential Childcare – Essential
*
Full UK Driving Licence – Essential
