Safe‑Guarding Nurse Specialist

Thank you for your interest in joining Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.
This role is a specialist post within the Corporate Safeguarding Team, supporting statutory safeguarding functions across the health board and providing leadership and guidance in safeguarding practice.
Main duties of the job
* Provide specialist advice and support regarding child protection, adults at risk and domestic abuse to all staff within CTMUHB.
* Support and facilitate the revision, development and oversight of safeguarding processes for children, adults at risk, DoLS and domestic abuse.
* Represent CTMUHB in multi‑agency forums such as strategy meetings, conferences and core groups to ensure appropriate and proportionate information is shared.
* Act as chair for safeguarding meetings where a multi‑disciplinary or multi‑agency approach is required.
* Support the delivery of national safeguarding frameworks, strategies, policies and guidance.
Welsh Skills Desirable
Welsh language speaking / listening skills at Level 3 (CEFR B2) or above are considered an advantage.
Person specification – Qualifications
* Master’s level or equivalent skills, experience or knowledge.
* Understanding of professional and current issues in safeguarding.

* Experience of managing and investigating incidents.
* Evidence of delivering presentations to large multi‑professional, multi‑agency groups.
* Welsh language speaking / listening skills at a Level 3 or above.
