We have an opportunity available for a Carer Support Worker to join the team working within our Peterborough Carers Support Services which supports unpaid carers who care for others. Our Carers Support Service provides dedicated support, advice and information for carers over the age of 18. The team offers emotional support, groups and activities ensuring carers feel recognised and valued.
Salary £26,117 p/a
Weekly Hours 35 hours contract and 30 hours contract available

In this role you will be passionate about empowering and helping carers with a range of matters on a one-to-one basis. You will provide values-based support, advice and information to carers ensuring they have access to practical and emotional support, giving them some quality time away from the people they care for. You will also facilitate peer support groups and deliver/arrange training for carers. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of carers and their loved ones.

Candidates must have an NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards. Previous experience of working with unpaid carers or in an advocacy capacity is essential for this role. Our main priority is to find people who share similar values and attitudes to our own.
