We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef De Partie to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to providing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Chef De Partie, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Who we are
Big Smoke Inns operates 7 pubs and restaurants in South West London and Surrey as well as a brewery in Esher. The pubs offer a great range of freshly prepared food alongside an eclectic beer range and friendly, casual service.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
* Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards.
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
* Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
* Participate in daily kitchen operations, including setting up workstations and cleaning up after service.
Skills
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant setting.
* Strong understanding of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods.
* Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
* Previous kitchen experience is preferred; culinary qualifications are an advantage.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy environment.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
