Role Overview
The Onsite Support Engineer provides end-user support, hands-on assistance, and collaborates with business users and stakeholders to ensure efficient support without disrupting business operations. Hands-on experience is essential.
Responsibilities
* Support with Microsoft desktop OS, Windows applications deployment, configuration, and management.
* Manage Windows Client Administration.
* Build and install PCs, telephony systems, wireless networks, and peripherals (printers, scanners, mobile devices).
* Perform routine maintenance on PCs, networks, telephony, and peripherals.
* Identify, log, and resolve software and network issues.
* Suggest system improvements to technical teams.
* Work with the Technology team to ensure optimal desktop environment operation.
* Support network devices and servers as needed.
* Respond to support calls and work orders.
* Ensure service levels are met.
* Communicate technical issues clearly to teams and stakeholders.
* Proven experience with Microsoft Intune (Autopilot), SCCM, VMWare Horizon, etc.
* Support Windows 10/11 migrations and deployments.
* Coordinate with third-party vendors when necessary.
* Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of desktops and laptops.
* Support a global delivery environment.
* Provide technical support onsite, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
* Document issues and solutions.
* Stay updated with technological advancements.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related (not always required).
* 3 to 5 years of technical support experience, preferably onsite.
* Strong hardware, software, and networking knowledge.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (preferred).
* Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+.
* Multilingual skills are a plus.
