Teaching Assistant (Visual Impairment Support) – Clitheroe
Location: ClitheroeStart Date: Week commencing 1st JuneContract Type: Maternity coverWorking Days: Monday & Tuesday
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a KS1 pupil with visual impairment.
This role involves working 1:1 with a lovely young student, providing tailored support to aid their learning and development in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a visually impaired pupil in KS1
* Assist with classroom activities and ensure accessibility to learning materials
* Support the pupil’s social, emotional, and academic development
* Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team
Requirements:
* Experience supporting children with visual impairment (essential)
* Knowledge of or ability to use Braille (essential)
* Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
* Previous TA experience preferred
